I almost didn’t do it but okay let’s go.

The Brolonoscopy (they pronounced it as Brolinoscopy?)

I will once more start with the puzzle piece reference. Let’s see the exact quote: “Well, the technical term is colonoscopy when a doctor explores your large intestine with a little camera to check for signs of cancer, polyps, gastrointestinal abnormalities, missing puzzle pieces. It could be anything.” Okay, with all the objectivity I can master, the possibility of this being a throw-away statement and not a reference to their own old video is, very seriously, below 1%. Let’s start from what the joke is on the surface. The superficial joke is the weird objects people insert in their rectum for sexual gratification. But why say puzzle pieces of all things? I don’t think I need to explain why a puzzle piece has a shape that is not meant to offer any pleasure but is sure to cause huge discomfort. Nobody (I hope) would like the idea of sticking a puzzle piece up there = 0% pleasure, 100% cuts and pain. So why go with puzzle pieces and not a million other objects that would have a more reasonable shape? Furthermore, notice that it is the ONLY irrelevant item Rhett mentions. Let’s go to drugged up Rhett. The things he says are: a) using buttplugs regularly, b) eating a lot of hotdogs (although when sane he has said he doesn’t often opt for actual hot dogs), c) a man fond of looking and entering the asshole (although when sane he identified as a vagina fan man). Overall, sedated Link is more of a normally sedated person than Rhett was and there is stuff to be said about it. Those reactions were normal. The only not normal one up to this point was wanting to canoe down a colon… But, again, there’s a lot more to be said.

Link also said something like “I spent all my life with a cone up my ass” probably a metaphor of repression.

And now: THE REAL PART

As a person who has had an endoscopy with anaesthesia (maybe more than a regular dosage), a relative who had one with half the typical dosage of anaesthesia and a thug relative who did it with NO anaesthesia, in case you are young and vibrant and healthy, which I very much hope so, and have not undergone such a procedure yet, let me tell you something: regarding many parts of their incoherent sedation, THAT’S NOT HOW BEING INCOHERENT DURING SEDATION WORKS.

Link commented in the end of the video that he was more out of it than Rhett was and Rhett disagreed due to all the insane stuff he had said, for which he took no responsibility. The thing is, Link was telling the truth and perhaps intentionally. He was more out of it than Rhett. “Out of it” here means being more sedated and therefore more incapable of communicating or talking. And certainly NOT saying sexual and other supposedly crazy stuff with extraordinary detail. There is proof for that in the video, as spoken by the doctor, which was not edited out.

The doctor said Rhett took less medicine than the typical dosage is and, you know, doctors have the tendency to minimize pain anyway. Which means that for the doctor to be impressed that Rhett handled it so well, he was in fact not all that drugged up. The dosage that was given to him was apparently enough to numb the pain / discomfort but he was pretty conscious for most of the time. Compare it to Link, who was given more medicine and when they tried to wake him as much as Rhett, he had discomfort, was making motions and asking the doctor questions about his health. Link’s state was making a lot more sense. There are several cuts and edits during Rhett’s colonoscopy but in general I feel like he took one up for the team (literally) so that he would say certain things under the cover of incoherence. Like they said, they asked the doctor to use the minimum drug dosage so they could be as alert and conscious as possible - apparently Rhett was able to tolerate a lower dosage that inevitably made him remain more alert for a longer time. Bodies are different. In any case, Rhett took much less drug than his doctor expected him to need, which means he was able to communicate well and maintain an unusual level of consciousness during such a procedure. Besides all the sex jokes he made with full phrases, this is more obvious in the “Jessie” question. Here’s how sedation works: if you are in the state that you don’t remember your mother for example, you definitely also don’t remember the lyrics of an obscure song you listened to once. End of story. What happens with Rhett here is exactly that. He supposedly is incapable of remembering his wife but he has no problem remembering… let’s analyse this.

Link emphasises on the bit by saying to the doctor: “ I wonder if he’s gonna remember his wife when he wakes up. Because he certainly remembered every other Jessie he’s ever heard about”.

Like, okay? Trust me on this. Anaesthesia doesn’t work like selective amnesia. And few very particular amnesias work like remembering the obscure thing and forgetting the pivotal one.

This. Was. A. Bit.

And even Link’s embarrassment is parts real, parts a bit. Like, emphasising on how Rhett can’t think of anything besides buttholes.

Hitoshi’s and Husk’s blogs would look like regular fan blogs, posting fanart and fanfics. But Husk’s has a link to his patreon, where he posts all his longer, +18 fics. Hitoshi has a lot of people asking if he's gonna make a patreon for his art, but he keeps having to remind everyone that he’s a minor and can’t have a patreon yet, and just keeps linking to his Twitch channel, where he’s got both a sub button, and a donate button.

because I put references to everything I like into that story. Naming characters after other characters, making characters from other media cameo namelessly or under changed names, etc.

But, apparently (if the tumblr search function can be trusted, cough), I never mentioned on this blog that I did that to Cloudia and Cedric too.

I did once mention that WotQ's writing/layout style originally comes from an Aldnoah.Zero fanfic that I planned out. I began it but the main fic ultimately never saw the light of day. I did, however, finish and publish one story for that fic's companion fic. And because WotQ is tied to AZ because of the structure (but also for other reasons heh), I thought it would only be right and fitting to have Cloudia and Cedric appear in that companion story - albeit with changed names, of course.

I even alluded to this in the notes to the one and only Road to the Stars story that I ever put out:

For a brief moment, I feared that I hadn't put any AZ references into WotQ and was quite upset with myself but then I remembered that, no, I did include one!!!

Kinda like @/the-wheatley-core does with their analyses. Other than that, quiet reblogs with tons of gushing in the tags, but when people ask him to gush he short circuits sjdgh

Much, much different from him. Although he's tiny and fiesty and adorable, I feel as if he wouldn't have the confidence to think that I'd actually like him how he is, so he'd cut out all the negative things about himself and only put the positives in his si.

He commissions a lot of art. He can't draw or paint or sculpt or edit like.... at all (unless viv says otherwise, though up until now she hasn't) so most of the money he is given to to fund his experiments and such go down to commissions. Other than that, he actually likes creating water glass music based on my character! He does record them, but never posts them (which is a shame cause they're really good).

No one in his life really knows about his crush, except mayyyybe Elena and Sam, but he’s determined to keep it a secret. He mostly posts art and just little headcanons or text posts he thinks would fit him and me. If he gets drunk, he’ll post gushes about how pretty he thinks I am (even though if I was real in his universe I would like. pound him for that >:(( )

Nate’s s/i is pretty close to who he is in real life, maybe he’s just a history teacher or an art professor or has a more normal job that still seems fun to him. I don’t think he’d want to be a treasure hunter in my source material, since he would want to have a more normal life and probably wouldn’t want me to get hurt because of his enemies or dangerous lifestyle and stuff.

I actually started RPing as her back in 2012. It sprouted in the Twitter platform after some encouragement from my friends. No matter who I run to RP... I’ve always returned back to this account. Lyon would have a side blog similar to my own, where it’s themed after me! He makes it very clear in the blog description that it’s a side blog of his main and that he is a selfshipping blog. He tends to quietly reblog anything including me, but absolutely gushing about me in the tags (where people are less likely to check). I said this earlier in a post about Piers, but I feel like I would come from a very story-driven/decision-heavy type game (aka like a Fire Emblem game). Lyon would be the type to, every-now-and-then, make an analysis post about my character in a certain moment of the story and how it leads up to my character at the end of the story.

Lyon would lean more on the side of a S/I that’s basically him but with a few changes. I feel like he’d make his S/I a bit more confident than he really is and would probably change his name if his didn’t fit in with the source material.

So. Much. Fanfiction. He writes about his ship with me constantly and is probably the main content on his blog besides reblogging things of me and the occasional analysis of me. He has a long-running fanfic which is basically a minor rewrite of the game I’m from, but including his S/I and how things would go if he were there.

He often makes Eirika (who I imagine would be the one to introduce him to the concept of self-shipping and they’d self-ship in the same fandom together) worry with how emotional story scenes with me make him. He’s also a big ol’ “I’m going to watch every single cutscene and event with Amanda in it because she makes me happy” kind of person. His favorite thing to do is replay the last chapter of my game, because the feeling of my friends and I making our last stand fills him with so much hope and confidence that it just makes his mood generally better (besides me getting injured beforehand, he can’t help but cry a little at that and then hates the guy who hurt me for the rest of the game).

He eventually combined enough references from the official Twitter to make an “official reference.” That’s used by the widespread fandom. No, he’s subtle about it. See he has this folder titled “Homework and Interview stuff.” And while normally you’d just find stuff, it’s where he hides his self ship stuff. Just doll makers because he’s too shy to commission art and doesn’t have time to comitt to writing anything. Once he joins the server, they get art for him. He also got a signed autograph from Koi’s va in character as her during some event and it’s his most prized possession.
